Chicken A La Caveman

If you want a really outstanding and memorable wedding party, you can amaze your guests by giving them a grilling chicken lesson: get them to eat the flame-grilled, citrus-marinated chicken from El Pollo Loco, have fun and be romantic, all at the same time. The chicken cooked in this style has all the advantages of a healthy food, while offering you the great taste you enjoy so much.

Why do you think our ancestors were so strong? Maybe because they had no freezers? No chemicals? No food additives? No microwaves? It is possible. And you can now re-create a piece of prehistory, by getting married El Pollo Loco style! Don’t you think your guests will remember your wedding party for a long time?

What Weddings And Football Have In Common

wedding stadiumYou’ll say nothing. Well, it was true until recently: in UK, the new football stadium of Shrewsbury Town was granted the licence to accomodate weddings. This seems to be a great idea, as the space is more than generous, plus you can decorate the place in such a way that theme weddings will be very well represented. The stadium lights will offer a cozy atmosphere at night, and the sonorization has to be great, so the guests will have all necessary conditions to dance and party as they wish.

And think of the wedding photos: due to the configuration of the place, photographers will be able to take pictures from the height of the tribunes, thus offering a new perspective of the wedding. By using a fish eye lens, they will be able to capture the panorama of the whole place, to the delight of the guests and of the protagonists.

For not so romantic brides, the stadium can be the perfect place to organize a wedding with the theme Football (although it is quite hard to believe that any bride would ever want the wedding cake in shape of a football, or the guests to wear sport shoes and numbered T-shirts.

The Beach Wedding: A Stylish, Romantic Theme

beach weddingMore and more weddings take place directly on the beach. You can bring there everybody, including priests, so there is no reason why not having a beach wedding, if you wish.

Imagine the scenery:

Tables set in the sunset light, lots of candles, the sound of waves combined with romantic music, the white sand reflecting the lights, and you, the bride, dressed up like a fairy, enjoying every moment of your unique wedding day. For dance moments, you can have a wooden platform arranged on the spot, as dancing in the sand is not the best way to treat your well-dressed guests.

For not so formal wedding ceremonies, you can even arrange a collective swim, but make sure to have a bridal swimware, as swimming in the wedding dress can be harmful to your health and even to your life ;)

Theme Weddings: Forever In Your Guests Memory

wedding mansionWe’ve got a message from a future bride, asking us to detail a bit the topic of theme weddings.

Theme weddings are the best way to offer your guests a memorable experience, which they will wish to share with all their friends. Here you can find a few ideas:

The Zen Wedding

  • main feature: simplicity
  • dominant colors: red and black (you can go for a Chinese restaurant)
  • decorations: orchids, bambus, paper lamps, pagodas, bonsai, paper fans
  • Chinese food: you can serve them with chopsticks (but make sure you have also normal cuttlery available, for preventing some of your guests to get nervous)
  • invitations: make them in origami shapes, and use satin, glossy paper
  • music: relaxing, with chinese bells tones (except for the moments you wish to dance)
  • wedding dress: kimono-style
  • wedding favors: fortune cookies
  • wedding cake: it can have a pagoda shape.

The Cinderella Wedding

  • main characteristic: ball atmosphere
  • place: very wide, with columns, marble, chandelier lights
  • decorations: balloons, giant ribbons, candles in shapes of carriages and pumpkins
  • set up: the bride and the groom can arrive at the ceremony in a horse carriage (or a retro car)
  • wedding dress: princess-like, decorated with Swarovski cristals or pearls (if you are superstitious, don’t use pearls, it is said that they bring tears)
  • bridal shoes: transparent, glass-like
  • wedding favors: small cristal shoes or hearts, with interior laser engravings
  • music: musical theme from Beauty and the Beast, or Walt Disney’s Cinderella
  • wedding cake: castle-like

Do you think wedding themes are a good way to make your wedding unique and memorable? Which theme would you like to use?

How To Choose Your Wedding Theme

theme weddingSo you decided to go for a theme wedding, a memorable and original ceremony people would talk about years in a row. But how to you choose your theme? Are you going for some romantic ideas to express the love that brought you together, or are you rather going for a modern style, party-like wedding ceremony? Classic or modern, that is the question.

There are a few factors you should consider, for a maximum of effect with minimum of trouble:

  1. Time of the year:
    • You wouldn’t pick a winter theme during summer, would you?
    • You wouldn’t like a romatic wedding by the lake in the fall, when wind blows like hell
    • You have to make sure that you can find all needed accessories in the season of your wedding (of vourse you can find strawberries also in winter, but the price would be at least triple, comparingly with summer time)
  2. Guests age and preferences:
    • You are the main character of your wedding, but your happiness will come very likely from your guests’ happiness.
    • Beware if you choose a Lego theme for some 50+ years old guests: they might not be so happy with it.
    • For your very young friends, an “urban style” theme wedding might be more suitable than a “harvest day at the farm” one. Be sure you find out what most of your guests would like for the party.
    • If neccessary, you can have a separate party for your friends, and one for your rather old relatives, whom you love but don’t share the same preferences.
  3. Estimated number of guests
    • For a very small number of guests, you wouldn’t want to organize a “princess ball” theme wedding. The ball room may seem too large to make your few guests feel at ease. It would rather look like half of your invitees did not show up.
  4. Budget
    • There was this saying: “no money, not funny, honey!”
    • Don’t try to go big if your budget cannot support your glamorous ideas.
    • It’s better to have a simple, “zen” style wedding with all proper accessories, than have an almost empty ball room, because you didn’t have enough money for its proper decoration.

These being said, you can sit together, bride and groom, and do a little brainstorimng session: write down all crazy ideas that come to your mind, try to define yourself, to see what things you have in common, to see what is most representative for your couple.

Your wedding ceremony has to express your style, isn’t it?
